I came to Frank's tonight because I had an entertainment coupon and hadn't been there in years. I was very disappointed and will not return there again. I was told the coupon would not be honored and the prices really jumped. In the past they included soup or salad with the meal but that wasn't an option now. I decided to stay and had a really lousy $15 plate of spaghetti which was tasteless. I definitely will not return again, the meal and restaurant was a major disappointment. Don't waste your money here.
I called and placed my order after looking at Frank's website; tortellini Alfredo and stuffed shells. They called me back to tell me they didn't have either of those items, so I picked two similar items. The prices ended up being a lot higher than their website said, but I was not told that until I went to pick up the order. There was no salad or soup included with the meals either, but the website stated it was included. I spoke with the waitress who apologized and said it happens all the time because the website is outdated. I didn't plan for the drastic price difference, so I didn't take the order. Frank later called me to ask why. I explained, and he then told me I was never allowed back. I said I understood and then said thank you. He yelled at me for thanking him and then cursed me out in Italian.
Waitresses were great owner not so much. Called a head of time made a reservation, due to the large party of people attending verified separate checks would be an option was told yes on the phone waitresses were more then willing at the end of service to generate seperate checks, owner was informed with separate checks his waitresses would make out better his response "I don't care". Once a month our group of friends chooses a different establishment to gather, catch up with everyone's lives and have a good meal, this establishment will definitely not be a repeat.
I went here with a group of friends who had recommended the place. honestly, I was not that satisfied with my meal. I had the chicken parm. The portion was okay but it was just plain and basic. It did not have any distinct flavor to it. It tasted like something I could have made it home. They give you plenty of free French bread oh, so you have to pay for the garlic bread. I thought that was a little strange.
Amazing!!. 1st bad sign, 2 patrons leaving and no one at tables at 1:30 on Friday afternoon. Asked waitress for take-out menu and she said no take-out. Told me to look at today's specials, and sit down and eat. I said I'll pass and started to walk out. She said OK I can give you take-out. Ordered the spaghetti and sausage with an extra meatball. Took the salad over the soup, and bread. She told me I wouldn't get a salad if I got take-out. Yeah, seriously!! Got my food without salad and left. Spaghetti, sausage and meatball was average . I'll give it a 7. Was surprised how good sausage was. Have to give that an 8.5. No salad on take-out pasta dish is something I've never experienced before in my life. Because of that, won't be going back.
I used to love this place when I lived in the area. I decided after not going here for about 10 years, I would try it again, and boy was i disappointed. Maybe it's just that my taste for food has been enhanced greatly, but this food was very Bland and had very little Flavor. On a more positive note, it looks like they have made some improvements, and added a bar area, and now accept credit cards, which is nice. The waitress staff were very friendly, and attentive to my few requests. The prices seem to have gone up quite a bit since I was last there, and with that being said, I do not believe the quality of the food, is worth the expense. I do not think I will be coming back again. It was nice to come back to a place where I used to go with my family. I think that's the reason why I decided to go there in the first place after all these years. I was hoping that the food was going to be excellent and I could write an wonderful review, but unfortunately this was not the case. I do hope the owner of this restaurant reads the reviews, both good and bad, and utilizes some of my information to better the restaurant. In the long run, it will help improve the restaurant, and keep it around for many years to come. Have Blessed Day.
Food is great, but... the tables in the area where you first walk in are so narrow you have almost zero room for anything. It seems like the tables are 24" across which is insane. We stopped one Sunday evening for dinner with 4 kids and got seated at a table that was big enough as far as the number of people it could seat, but when we had appetizers on the table and our dinner came out very soon after that there was absolutely no place to put the plates down. My wife was sitting across from me and our plates were touching just to have them on the table. We would probably make this a regular dinner spot except for the exceptionally small tables.
Great food and service. Their mussels in white sauce are phenomenal. Good place to bring the family or a group. Inexpensive and family run business. Try it, you won't be disappointed. If you're looking for a fancy, highly decorated place, this isn't the place for you. If you're looking for great, authentic Italian food, go and enjoy!
